Her version is definitely less.... um.... gruesome. Excellent job though. I like the concept. I once discovered a beached elephant.... Ta da! Yay for the beach. Looks like you had fun at the beach anyway.

I don't know, I always assumed that mermaids were immortal, but here we see that they die and wash up on the beach to rot.

Bird Flu could be quickly and easily eradicated by adding a few drops of Lem-sip or Day-Nurse to birdbaths, obviously you would have to put Night-Nurse in the bird baths for owls.

WOW. This gives me a very particular feeling. Once a sea creature is washed up on shore dead, it's like all their beauty has gone with them. They just don't look the same.
I feel kind of bad when I see beached jellyfish and seahorses. This reminds me of that. It's an absolutely wonderful peice and the mood is carried well.
